Prom Hair Styles and Hair Dos
Pick your dress first! Choose your hair style after you have picked your gown so that you can make sure you stay with in a theme. Whether you are going for elegant, innocent, sophisticated or vintage your hair should compliment your gown not the other way around.
No matter your style choice or preference this is the night for something special, but do not go over board. The idea is to look like a better more enhanced version of you not like a totally different person.
Not every hair style will compliment every face. It all depends on the type of face you have. Round faces, Oval faces square faces all wear different hair styles, very differently.
Face Type;
- Figure out your face type:
- Oval: The widest part of an oval face is the forehead/ eye area.
- Round: A round face is usually the same length or width on all sides. Across the eyes and across the chin.
- Oblong: In this case your face appears longer than the width across your eyes.
- Heart: If you have very high and wide cheek bones then your face is heart shaped. Your chin is probably narrower than the width across your cheeks, forehead and eyes.
- Diamond: Almost identical to a hearst shaped face but your forehead and jaw line are the same width but not as wide as your cheeks.
